- Flow remains below normal to extremely below normal across the river
- Strasburg continues to be flagged for extreme low flow conditions
- Cooler temperatures helped slightly this week
- Drought pressure continues to stress the river system
🔴 Drought
- 100% of Shenandoah and Rockingham counties remain in severe drought (D2)
- 8.1% of Virginia is now in extreme drought (D3)
- Groundwater remains below where we want it
- Virginia indicators still show emergency levels for groundwater and reservoirs
- Dry conditions continue across much of the state
