Thanks to the generosity of longtime park supporter Tim Funk, a new endowed fund has been created through the Shenandoah Community Foundation to bring more trees, shrubs, and native plants to Seven Bends State Park.
Each year, the fund will provide grants to Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River to purchase and plant native vegetation in the park, strengthening its forests, improving habitat, and enhancing the experience for every visitor who walks its trails.
